Tens of millions of Americans were outraged after “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett claimed that he was attacked and severely beaten by two “MAGA-hat-wearing” white people outside a Chicago Subway in the wee hours of the morning in February 2019.
The actor said he was not only attacked, but called racial epithets and doused with a liquid initially reported as being bleach.
Naturally, President Trump was blamed right away for ‘stoking racial hatred’ though he had absolutely nothing to do with anything at all related to the alleged incident.
But as Chicago P.D. investigators began to suspect early on, the allegations and so-called ‘evidence’ Smollett was presenting didn’t add up — and for a good reason.
The entire story was a hoax. Come to find out, Smollett paid a couple of Nigerian brothers to beat on him and make it look like a Trump-inspired racially motivated attack.
It now appears as though another race-related hoax has been perpetrated.
On Sunday, NASCAR officials reported that someone from the team of No. 43 driver Bubba Wallace, who is black, found a “noose” in their highly secure garage space ahead of a Monday race at the Talladega Superspeedway.
The incident was reported to the FBI and the Justice Department announced it would investigate the incident as a hate crime.
It also earned a stern rebuke and threat from NASCAR President Steve Phelps, who vowed to ban the guilty party from the sport for life.
“Today’s despicable act of racism and hatred leaves me incredibly saddened and serves as a painful reminder of how much further we have to go as a society and how persistent we must be in the fight against racism,” he said in a statement posted online.
“Together our sport has made a commitment to driving real change and championing a community that is accepting and welcoming of everyone,” adding, “we will not be deterred by the reprehensible actions of those who seek to spread hate.”
On Monday, ahead of the race, all drivers and pit crew joined with Wallace before the race, walking behind him, some pushing his car to the end of pit row, in a show of solidarity.

But, it turns out that this is a hoax too.

The UK’s Daily Mail reported Tuesday:
The noose found hanging in Bubba Wallace’s garage stall at Talladega Superspeedway had been there since at least last October, federal authorities said Tuesday.
They announced that video surveillance footage from NASCAR confirmed the noose was hanging in the garage in October 2019 and as a result, no federal charges would be filed.
Wallace had been assigned the garage number last week.
According to U.S. Attorney Jay Town and FBI Special Agent in Charge Johnnie Sharp, their investigation determined “although the noose is now known to have been in garage number 4 in 2019, nobody could have known Mr. Wallace would be assigned to garage number 4 last week.”
Also, according to the pictures above, it appears that the ‘noose’ is really nothing more than part of a rope used to raise and lower garage doors at Talladega.
“After reviewing prior 2019 video of that specific garage bay, at that specific speedway; and after reviewing a picture released yesterday showing the FBI investigators on the scene; it is clear the ‘rope noose’ in question was nothing more than a manual garage door pull-down with a hand loop tied into it,” the sleuths at The Conservative Treehouse reported Wednesday, calling the latest reports a “hoax.”
How many more times are people going to perpetuate these hoaxes before someone mistakes them for real and takes a life in vengeance?
