The American Left and the ‘mainstream’ media (MSM) that serves as its propaganda wing aren’t used to having their fabricated cultural, political, and social narratives disputed and opposed, but after what happened to a group of teen boys from a Catholic high school in Kentucky last month, one lawyer is seriously challenging them.
Most Americans know by now about the alleged “confrontation” in Washington, D.C., between Covington Catholic High teens in the nation’s capital to attend the annual March for Life event and Native American activist Nathan Phillips. While those who still get their news from the MSM believe that the “racist” “bigoted” white, MAGA hat-wearing teens ‘harrassed’ the elderly “Vietnam War” veteran Phillips (note: he’s not a Vietnam vet), the reality of what actually happened that day is far different.
But don’t take our word for it. A 14-minute video compilation released last weekend by L. Lin Wood, a high-profile attorney retained by the family of Nicolas Sandmann, the smiling 16-year-old who faced off against Phillips while the latter beat a drum in his face, serves as “Exhibit A” in debunking the MSM lies and those of the Hollywood Left who besmirched and defamed the teen and his friends.
“Two weeks ago, the mainstream media, politicians, church officials, commentators, & celebrities rushed to judgment to wrongfully condemn, threaten, disparage & vilify Nick Sandmann based solely on a few seconds of an out-of-context video clip. It only takes 15 minutes to learn the truth,” Wood — who specializes in “aggressive libel and slander suits against media organizations” — said in a description of the video.
A narrator begins by noting that “the very first Indigenous Peoples March” was scheduled on Jan. 18, the same day and “at the same time” as the 47th annual March for Life. She goes on to explain that the Covington teens from the all-boys school were told by chaperones to meet on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial following the event to wait for a bus to come pick them up.
“Many of the boys were wearing ‘Make America Great Again’ hats which were acceptable attire for the pro-life event they had just attended,” the narrator says.
Near where the Covington teens were standing were five black male members of a radical organization known as the “Hebrew Israelites.” The video notes that “this known hate group” was already engaged in slinging racial slurs against the Indigenous Marchers.
“You’re not supposed to be worshiping eagles, buffaloes, rams…all types of animals,” one of them can be heard telling a Native American marcher. “This is the reason why the Lord took away your land.
“Indian means savage,” the Black Israelite continued, as he was being challenged by other Native American Marchers. Other members called nearby blacks “Uncle Tom” while calling the Native Americans “Uncle Tomahawks.”
At that point, a few of the Covington teens who were curious about the commotion came near to see what was going on; they were immediately set upon by the Black Israelites.
“Bring y’all cra*er a** up here and make a statement,” a Black Israelite can be heard saying. “You little dirty a** cra*ers, your day comin’.” (Related: Chaperones of Covington teens say THEY were ‘targeted’ by ‘staged’ Native American confrontation.)
The small group of boys returned to the larger group without incident, and without saying anything, however, but the abuse didn’t stop there. For nearly an hour the Black Israelites hurled obscenities, racial, and homophobic slurs at the Covington teens — until Phillips approached them.
He claimed after the incident he was attempting to get to the Lincoln Memorial, but the video clearly shows he wasn’t interested in seeing it — but rather confronting the teens.
The video contains additional clear evidence that the Covington teens — who were slandered by the media and many in Hollywood for causing the incident — did nothing to provoke it and did not in any way demean Phillips or the Black Israelites.
