Morgan O. Reynolds, a former Chief Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor 2001-2002 and current Professor emeritus of Economics at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, claims that 9/11 was an inside job purported by the Bush administration.1
Reynolds states that he had been on the job for one week during the September 11th attacks. When Reynolds saw the towers engulfed in flames, he was convinced that neither building would fall. Upon learning that both towers had collapsed, Reynolds, who doesn’t have a background in physics, simply assumed he was wrong.
Reynolds put his initial thoughts on the back burner and continued to serve on the Bush administration’s staff for another sixteen months. He first began to suspect that 9/11 was an inside job during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. 1
Upon leaving his job in 2003, Reynolds had time to pursue whatever projects his intellectual interests gravitated towards. It was during this time that Reynolds decided to focus his studies on 9/11.
Based upon his studies, Reynolds claims that 9/11 was an inside job intended to re-elect George W. Bush. After all, history has shown that countries are much more likely to re-elect a president during times of war than during times of peace. In particular, Reynolds claims that George W. Bush did not want to repeat the errors of his father. He wanted to secure a second term so badly that he issued a full scale attack on America a mere nine months into his first term. The Bush administration’s response to the attack was to issue a loosely defined “war on terror.”
The biggest smoking gun that 9/11 was an inside job for Reynolds was the collapse of WTC 7, which was not hit by an airplane. The WTC 7 building collapse was initiated by fires, according to the 9/11 Commission Report. The problem, Reynolds notes, is the fires were relatively small. Furthermore, the WTC 7 was a steel building. Fire had never before collapsed a steel building except on 9/11, fact that the 9/11 Commission Report glosses over.1
Reynolds notes that the WTC 7 building had the telltale signs of a controlled demolition rather than a sporadic collapse. Specifically, the building collapse entirely within seven seconds. “What other explanation can their be for this very conventional looking collapse in under seven seconds?” said Reynolds.1
Reynolds also remarks how cold, callous and immune government officials can be in regards to the sanctity of human life when occupying the peaks of power. “When you’re on top, you don’t identify with the struggles of ordinary people,” said Reynolds.1
Many Americans do not hesitate to admit that the Bush administration lied to public in order to wage war on Iraq, a war that has killed thousands of American soldiers. So why is it any more surprising that the Bush administration lied and killed thousands of American on 9/11?
“It’s not gone as smoothly as they thought,” says Reynolds. “Number one, their cover story is weak. Number two, they have the complacency of the corporate media.” The overall thinking that has brought the 9/11 Commission Report into question, reports Reynolds, is the internet.1
